I found myself wanting (needing) a long-term graph of (net?) new residences built, vs household formation. I understand, tricky in more ways than one, but still. Could pull decent estimates of annual household formation from this or similar?
Generally that's considered bad practice because of the circular definitions—a household is just all the people who share a housing unit, so growth in household formation basically always matches growth in total housing units.
