Yupp, discussed this very subject with my student, he works for major chemical company and they are rolling out contingency plans in case gas is cut off. More impotent he mentioned that you can cut off consumers because of difficulty in turning furnaces back on, requires a technician
Yes—at this point I would be surprised to hear that any major industrial company on the continent does not have contingency plans in case of cutoffs.
That's a good point on household consumers—one of many reasons why policymakers are likely to try to insulate households from the downstream impacts of the gas shortage.
